Could You Build a Website in a Month? (Hint: Yes!)

by | Nov 7, 2016 | Church Websites

We get it–building a church website takes time and can be a challenging process. After all, you may need fresh content from a dozen or more team leaders along with various ministry details from part- and full-time staff. Maybe you need time to pull together photos and graphics. Maybe it’s a really crazy time in your work or personal life. And of course, whether you’re new to building websites or changing platforms, there’s just stuff to learn. Most of the Aboundant staff are current or former church employees, so we know that churches often cannot build a website quickly.

So, we give you a full month to build your site, and you won’t pay a dime until 30 days from the time you sign up.

Your First Month with Aboundant

  • Start your free trial. (You’ll add your credit card during registration, but you won’t be billed yet.)
  • Use LaunchPad, our exclusive quick-start system, to get the essentials in place.
  • Enhance your website with more content to your heart’s content. We’ll provide support when you get stuck. You can also take part in our free weekly webinars, too!
  • [Time passes. Pizzas are consumed. Fun stuff takes place.]
  • Before the 1-month (30 days) point, you’re hopefully done! Let us know at any time that you’re ready to launch, and we’ll make your site officially live.
  • When your trial or live site reaches the 30 day point, your credit card will be billed unless you cancel your plan.
  • Oh wait, you’re not quite finished and need a little more time? Just drop us a support request and we’ll give you an extension.

At most church website companies, you get anywhere from zero days to two weeks to try out their system and build your site before you are billed. (Plus, you often have to wait for them to set up your site before you can even begin to add your content. With Aboundant, you can start within seconds of signup.)

Example: A one-month path to a new church website

  • Week 1, day 1 – Complete LaunchPad and get your site’s essentials in place within minutes.
  • Week 1, day 2-7 – Research other church websites to see what you really like and want in your site, if you haven’t already done so. Begin to learn to use WordPress and Divi. Gather content from ministry teams and groups.
  • Week 2 – Create additional ministry pages. Work on the home page.
  • Week 3 – Work on special pages, such as the events calendar, Contact page, and giving page.
  • Week 4 – Testing, proofreading, tweaking…and launch!

We’re committed to making sure you can build your new website at a pace that is reasonable. Seems like common sense, doesn’t it? Start your website now.

p.s. Remember, you don’t need to have EVERY single bit of information about your church completed before you go live. Get it launched…then keep on updating it on a regular basis.
